Terms of use
These terms apply when you create an account or use Garden Logbook.

The service
Garden Logbook helps home gardeners record their own observations, photographs and activities; organise tasks; and optionally request automated identification. Features may change as the service develops.
Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content
You retain ownership of the records and photographs you submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, reproduce and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and provide features you request. You must have the right to upload your content.
Not professional advice
Garden Logbook is an organisational and informational tool. It does not provide professional horticultural, agricultural, chemical, medical, safety or other expert advice. Automated identifications and general information may be incomplete or incorrect. Confirm important decisions independently and follow product labels, local laws and qualified professional advice where appropriate.
Subscriptions and purchases
If paid plans or identification purchases are offered, the price, billing period, included features and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through an app store are also governed by that store’s terms. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally refund a period already purchased unless required by law.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful or harmful content, evade usage limits, or use the service in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
Availability and backups
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. You should use the available complete-backup feature periodically and keep exported copies somewhere safe.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service or reliance on automated results.
Ending use
You may stop using Garden Logbook at any time. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, address serious misuse, or comply with law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website or account email as appropriate. Continued use after an update takes effect indicates acceptance where permitted by law.
